Articulation

Difficulty articulating specific speech sounds (for example- "R" as in "car", "L" as in "follow", "S" as in "soon").

Difficulty in the ability to attend to, perceive, organize, and remember information; to reason and solve problems.

Language

Difficulty in receptive and expressive language. Includes Aphasia- a language disorder resulting from a brain injury.

Social Language

Difficulty with social interaction and communication. May affect individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Stuttering

Involves disruptions, or “disfluencies,” in a person’s speech. Stuttering can affect individuals of all ages.

Assessments

A combination of formal and informal assessments may be conducted to determine goals and a plan for treatment.
